Just got a tahoe ppv. What do you recommend for shock absorbers?

Anyone looking for the rear shock to get for 2013 Tahoe PPV,
I answered my own question and found a guy in reviews on Amazon for Belltech 2414FF Street Performance Shock Absorber, he said he used that and it works great.

100% they are contributing to your ride harshness, just a tire change with the presumably old/worn suspension will make an enormous difference.
I’ve got Westlake 265/60R17’s on my 2008 PPV, it’s a really rough ride, I feel each jarring bump. You think changing tires would help? I imagine the suspension is worn anyways, but if a tire change would help what should I change to? I do want to keep the low PPV style as best I can.

Your ride will get better with a taller profile and better tire. Also ditch the speed rating, get a mileage/driver tire. The front springs and struts are the same as every other Tahoe, there is zero difference......so if you have a ton of miles, look at updating the suspension. All of these will factor into the ride, but its a push/give if you want to stay low.

I did full Belltech suspension, even retained the stock front springs. Everything else was replaced in the kit though. With a 65 series tire after my upgrades, and the Belltech kit in my signature, I was still lower than a factory GMT900 PPV. There are pics in my build thread also linked in my sig, showing the height difference.

If you're like most of us, ride > height. You can still stay low like me with a suspension upgrade that is surely needed anyways. All this considering I gave up my smoother ride once again to put on these super heavy 22" transports and low profile tires, but I really enjoy the look. Its worth the ride I gave up, but that is me. Do what will best suite your needs, or be like me and change it up every 30-45k miles. :birgits_tiredcoffee

As someone who's dealt with Bilsteins and PPV springs, i would advise against the 4600's in favor for the 5100's. The 4600 series are way to soft for this rigs an should only in my opinion be used for factory replacement when comfort is #1 priority, my suggestion is the Eibach strut shocks or as mentioned before the 5100 series because both have adjustable ride height rings built in.
