Mine is an LT and it has chrome interior handles. I think the lower model may still be called an LS but I may be wrong.

I asked at the dealership when my Yukon was in for service, they quoted me ~120 per side. I have the cashmere interior and seat-heater/seat memory buttons.

Question for anyone who has taken a look at these things:
Can the 'chrome' handle be replaced while keeping the plastic cup that contains the buttons?

If that were the case then it wouldn't matter what what color or button combo you purchased since all that needs replacing is the handle itself.

I haven't ordered my new ones yet but I will post as soon as I find out if it is possible to change out just the chrome part.

Took my '07 Yukon XL in to the dealer and showed them the peeling. They rotated the tires and replaced the handles in about 40 minutes and had me on my way. Lucky I was still covered and only paid for the tire rotation. My advice is if you are still covered get them replaced even if it just a tiny imperfection.

BOOMER SOONER!

I just got a letter in the mail from chevy saying they are covering my interior door handles and will replace/repair and damaged door handles or reimburse me if I had gotten another shop to do it (which I havent). I guess all of our complaining has finally paid off!!

There was a GM Service Bulletin #09239 that came out in July 2010 ordering dealerships to replace the chrome handles up to 10yrs/100k miles (whichever comes first) from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service regardless of mileage or ownership.

I took my 07 LTZ to the local GMC dealer and they replaced all 4 interior handles. Mileage was 96,800 and they took care of a recall for the windshield washer heater and I'll be waiting on a 100 check for that one...SWEET ! Man I love this truck..

I just had my recall work done for the interior door handles, and to my suprise, I got a $100 check from the dealer. I don't know why, it just showed up. I paid no money out of pocket originally. WIN!

FYI Dealers got a recall on all door handles to be replaced if your hoe is under warranty, just take it in and they should order the parts, and install them for free. if they want to charge you, just call gm directly, theyll take care of it for you

Just had mine done acouple days ago. I only told them about the driverside one but they replaced both the driverside and the passenger side for free no questions asked. Also they replaced my rear glass as the solder came loose from the rear defroster plug. :Handshake:

Has anyone been able to have them replaced if your out of the original 3y 36k warranty and not the original owner? I have a 2007 Tahoe with 66K miles. I have a TSB that states if there are less than 100K and 10 years old, they will take care of them. I've been getting the run around for over and month. I just want a resolution like everyone else...

i just replaced mine, i got two gm handles off ebay for $12 pulled the door panels off, two screws held the whole handle then when you get that separated you have to pound a pin down , i used a chisel and a hammer because of the angle you have the chisel worked perfect, the pin comes out and pop the new one in pound the pin back in and put the door back together once i figured out the passenger door it only took me 10 minutes for the driver door.
