Installing new head unit

I want to install a new head unit in my 2001 Tahoe LT. When I pull the stock unit out I see that the antenna is factory wired into the stock unit. Most head units I've put in, the antenna unplugs from the back of the stock unit. Is there a trick to get this out? Any info would be helpful.

Can you post a pic of the connection.

There’s another connection further down the antenna wire, and you need a jumper/ adapter to go from that small connector to the bigger connector on the back of your head unit.
