installing HID in Denali

Before I get into it, how complicated is it installing HID in factory Lamps?

Do I need to remove the lamp, or can I do it with the lamps in?

I have an '08 too and did take the lamps out, which is a little cumbersome (loosening the grill/bumper) but worth it. You'll need to take the air intake out behind the passenger side lamp as well to make it easier on yourself . By taking the lamps out I was able to drill the ballasts behind the lamps so all you can see is the connection to the battery when you open the hood. I have some pics of how it came out on some other threads...if you want anymore specific info let me know.
