I'm guessing my trans is dead?

This weekend, trans started slipping and going into random gears so rpms were all over the place. It didn't overheat, the temp was at about 190 to 200 on average but when the random shifting thing happened the temp climbed really quick. I stopped and had it towed home yesterday and looked at my trans dipstick this morning and I saw this... I'm thinking I'll need a rebuild right? Truck has 190k miles on it. Code p0741 showed up.

I'd say you got good service out of that trans. but it's time is up. Fluid smell like it's burnt or just the regular stinky stuff?

Yeah, that is definitely not a good sign. In all probability, your torque converter grenaded and spread the metal fragments throughout the rest of the transmission.
