Many reasons

My in laws are getting older and will be ‘traveling’ with us more often, there is absolutely no room behind the seat in the tahoe, i am seriously considering a travel trailer for this summer (but it may be a motor home), need more room, more power and i guess thats it.. until i can think of more

Depends on your reasons for needing a long body.

Also I wouldn't hold your breath on E.

I love how you went from letters to numbers and back.

Btw.... are you pregnant???.... is that why you "need" a long body?
What did nathan edit in here?

Well, if it's just for traveling/towing and short hops once in a while around town the 2500 is the way to go. If you're looking at a Class A and something that seats seven to tow behind it, either a 1500 or 2500 would fit the bill. Stick with GMT900 if you're keeping the Tahoe.

Yeah, they are growing on me too, except the prices! The technology is nice but they'll be worse than ours to keep running in tip top shape with all that stuff as they age. If you don't keep them that long it's not an issue then. For less than 1/2 the price of a new one I bet you could score a cherry 2500 LT3 Suburban (didn't come with LTZ trim).
