Hello. First post as I just purchased 2012 yukon.
I did some searching, but found nothing SOLID on what I al looking to do. Please help!

I am installing 2 pioneer gmd 9500 amps to run new speakers and subs I'm putting in. I am maintaining factory head unit. Also want to keep use of factory amp as I will also replace factory sub.

So what interface module do I need to accomplish this that will also provide remote turn on for the amps???

Any and all help welcomed!!!

Do not have navigation if that matters

Thanks!!!

have you thought of buying an aftermarket radio ? . stock radio no navi with a sound system is gonna be hard to do without the right stuff . its also not going to sound as good as if you were to use an aftermarket radio

Jl Audio Cleansweep.... Takes signal from factory radio and completely flattens it so your amps will have a clean signal to adjust to your liking

I was thinking of using one of the Audiocontrol units from Crutchfield. But I have heard good things on the JL unit.

I also am thinking of doing the same upgrade like the OP keeping my sub and head unit. How easy (or hard) is it to run wiring? Will I have to remove consol, seats, etc.?

You will have to remove the trim around the headunit to pull out the unit... from there you should be able to use a rod or coat hanger to find a path to route your wires to under the dash. I would run all signal wires on one side of the vehicle and power wires on the other side to eliminate any interference. depending on where you mount your amps you may have to run wires across the vehicle under carpet which may or may not be difficult (again depending on amp location). For basic sub/amp install you wont have to remove seats. BTW PAC units are much cheaper and i have never had a problem with any of them.

If you are using a line output converter (stepdown) you will need to take apart your console to tap into the factory sub wiring to get your bass signal...

Does the clean sweep have output for bass signal or will I still have to tie into factory sub output to get the bass????
