Help please !!!!!!!!

Ok guys here is my issue i have a 96 tahoe lt 4 door and i drove it from porland Or to spokane Wa witch is a 6 hr drive" it was running great " and i got half way and then its stumbled like it was missing the check engine light came on , so i drove it a few more miles and then it started to run greatagain and a few more miles down the road the CEL went off again it did this a few times i was stumped ...... now here is what its doing now i can start it and drive it then it just dies no sputtering no sign of anything wrong just dies and wont start back up if i let it sit for a while it will start up again runs for a bit and just dies when it does this and i go try to start it i dont hear the fuel pump runing and it wont start untill the pump kicks on !!! could i have a bad fule pump im thinking yes , what do you guys think i changed the fuel filter not even 1k miles ago ..... im stumped and dont have the money to just to throw at it unless i know for sure what the problem is

your best bet is to bring your vin to the dealer and let them tell you which one . factory pumps seem to last the longest stay away from autozone / chain stores unless its a ac delco part

So every one thinks its a fuel pump???????? what is the price of them its the intank one i have found a airtec for $189 is that a good one or should i get the $300 one , or should i just sell the hoe for 2800 bucks and get something diffrent ?

for 2800 bucks, your not gonna find much better, imo. stick with the hoe and get either the ac delco pump or the gm one. now this is only my opinion but the other pumps seem to either A not work or B tear up quicker than ac delco or gm's. just replace it and keep drivin

so i am confused again , lol i keep getting told a lot of diffent things do i need the full fuel pump unit or just the pump evey time i call a parts store they tell me something diffrent !

well im glad i did not sell it !!! i did some checking and i put a new fuel pump relay in the hoe yesterday and wham it runs like a champ again , im soooo stoked now time to debadge and lift the hoe !
