I had my pass side quarter glass broken...called around and got quotes to replace it...$350-$500.

So I found an oem replacement off ebay for cheap $60.

Most places still want over $100 just to install it.

The "gasket" that came off it looks like it's 1/2" x 1/4" solid square Butyl Tape or some kind of rubber adhesive that was put on around 1/4" thick.

Anyone confirm or deny this or have any information where I can order this from or how to fix it please?

I thought it was held in like the windshield with glue stuff? I'm sure if you call up Safelite or whatever they will tell you how its held in.

I ended up using...

3M® - Urethane Adhesive
Part # 8609

Got it at O'reilly's for $29.00 a tube...you only need one tube.

Use Acetone to clean off residue and to clean the inside of the replacement glass.

Cut the nozzle open to as large as you can get it...the bead on the sheet metal needs to be as tall as you can get it 3/8"-1/2" to make contact with the window when you push it in. I didn't put it as tall the 1st time and when I pressed the window in it didn't feel like it touched all the way around so I pulled it back off and put a new bead around the window itself. There were clearly areas where it didn't make good contact.

I then used a ratchet strap, foam, and a plank of wood to put some pressure on the window while it dried. I attached at roof rack and wheel well with no issues.

Hope this helps all who search for this type of thing!
