Hi Everyone,
I've searched the web for a few weeks and have not found a forum where a 2007-2013 tohoe/yukon has had a manual transmission swap... Do any of you have a link? I don't have a preference in transmission type. Just want manual and with mods to handle 400-500hp.
I have a 2012 tahoe ltz rwd. I really want to put in a 6.2 and a manual trans.
I have a 2013 Camaro ss with 6.2 and manual transmission that is wracked to take the parts off. will it physically fit? shifter location? crossmember? and so on...

Have you tried 'performancetrucks.net'? Their version of enthusiasm more often involves NOT settling for the first GM OE option available from RockAuto.

Although you may want to change the cam in that particular 6.2L, use the truck's intake manifold,
and upgrade your axle gear to 4.88 - yes, that's not a typo, I wrote 4.88 - for use with that T56 manual,
yes, of course it'll physically fit! Although I can't tell you exactly where the shifter hole will wind up,
but your mechanic will help you figure out where the shifter will wind up.

I feel like I remember a manual swap build thread here somewhere? using the truck stuff. I forget what their tranny is called but it's not a t56. or was that a nbs

your tr6060 would be a stronger trans. since you've got both cars already. you're going to have to get under it and start measuring things. there's a few different tail housing I believe offered for shifter locations. this won't be a easy swap but anything is do able if you want it bad enough. my 2 cents is don't skimp on the clutch. it's a lot of weight to get moving

4L60, 6L80, T56, TR6060 (a heavier-duty T56) and the NV4500 all take up about the same amount of physical space.
GMT900 pickups used the NV4500 till '07 or '08 (albeit in Mexico).
If the NV4500 fits, the T56 fits, and the TR6060 fits.

.... Very doable with minimal fabrication I would think. Once upon a time we had full size SUVs and pickups that routinely had manual gearboxes. Full size broncos from the 1990s for example. Wouldn't mind having a 6-speed manual in the Escalade.

Were the GMT900 trucks ever offered with a manual transmission? IDK. If so, that's your ticket.

I know there was a guy on PerformanceTruck.net that swapped a friggin' ZF6-650 into his Tahoe! Talk about a tank of a transmission!

For an Escalade, I'd prefer an automatic, and the 10L80 is a pretty good one.
For an 'hoe / 'bubba / Yuke, the ZF S6-650 looks even better than a TR4050!

Where to find a ZF S6-650 ... ? ...

There's a guy on TikTok I saw that put the same drivetrain in his GMT900 tahoe. I will have to look for it and post again here.

But yeah I've been considering it too. I'm super disappointed that the 4.10s I have are screaming on the highway with my 6L80. I didn't realize the final drive ratio between the T56/TR60 is much lower than the 6L80. I have 3.73's in my TA and at 80mph I am at 1800 rpm. My Burn is creeping up to 2250rpm at 80mph and thats with my 24's. When I put the 22's on with the low profile tires its over 2500rpm. That's NG for trips more than 30 mins which I do a lot of.

It would probably be easier to get a 10 speed in there but its also twice the price ($7k vs $14k)

I've spoken with someone that has a GMT900 pickup that they said they swapped. Didn't get into too much detail, but said they used all GM800 parts to do it.

They did make a Mexican GMT900 pickup, but they only put the manual behind the v6. I even found a GMT900 3500, and it had a manual with a v6.

Years ago, I even found a guy selling a K2XX reg cab pickup with a factory manual transmission, in Las Vegas. It had a mexican plate on it. I asked, and he sent me the VIN. I've posted this a few times, and never had a response from anyone that has tried to look into the parts that way.

Yeah.. Pretty sure it was a dually too.
Looks like the gvwr is "only" 6700 lbs. The PBV number, in units of pounds. That sounds more like a 1500 series chassis, no?

I would imagine a 3500 DRW would be at least 10,000 lbs for truck in this generation, even non-US market.
