Has anyone had "Service Suspension System" along with a harsh ride?

I have a 2021 Denali with the Premium package and do not have the Adaptive Air Suspension that raises and lowers. So I guess it's just what they used to call magnetic ride control or something like that.

The other day the Service Suspension System message started popping up sometime, and now it happens every time you start it and it feels like the suspension is tighter than I've ever felt a vehicle be. It will almost rattle your teeth going over the smallest bumps.

I took it to the dealership today and they said they ordered a suspension module for it. I did not get to talk to the tech to find out if there's a service bulletin or what code description etc. I'm a former Ford tech and back when I was in the field, modules were usually ordered when techs didn't know what else to do and most of the time it wasn't the problem.

Has anyone else had this message with a stiff ride and if so what did it turn out to be?

We had this problem twice with my wife's 21 Escalade. Both times it came after loading something in the back around 100lbs.

The first time we took it in, they did a reset and made the message go away and the air ride began functioning again.

The second time (a week later), they ordered and replaced a module of some sort. The dealership had spoken to GM, who said the issue was a known one without a permanent fix. They recommended the module in hopes of fixing it, but the dealership said they would not at all be surprised to see me back in with it.

That was 3 months ago and we're still going strong...knock on wood.

It's been "known" since at least the 2 previous generation of Air Ride in the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/Escalades... you'll see posts here already of people with the "tilted" vehicles that have always existed with air ride.
