I don’t understand why they didn’t just make the nipples longer in order to accommodate better clamps. One is long enough, why not the other 2?

This was discussed and Paul asked me if there was room... I told him that the two larger ones could probably be extended but the smaller one that feeds the rear heater core might pose a problem.

As it is right now, it already pushes the rear metal lines back toward the A/C accumulator so not a ton of room without possibly bending/massaging the lines.

All of this talk about clamps and what not.... in all truth the coolant system runs less than 20psi, more like 15psi, so it's not like you have to over tighten the clamps for fear of it blowing a line off.

Worm clamps are not my favorite but I will take them all day long in this application VS the plastic T-connectors. My 2 bits.

Way off topic, but I’m not talking about clamps.. so.. do the Gruven mirror gears work on the gmt800 or only the gmt900? Looks from their site, like they’re specific to the gmt900 platform.

My guess is they are GMT900 specific or else Gruven would market them for both. Give Paul at Gruven a call or send him an email and I'm sure he can give an answer with certainty.

I think they work on the gmt800, @Rocketman did you install the Gruven heater core T-connectors on your SUV?
