Got a Stick Shift?

Just curious....who has a manual transmission? What years were the Tahoe's available in a stick? I would trade my 4-speed auto for a manual tranny any day of the week.

Doubtful it was an ever an option but certainly possible if you throw enough money at it. The same generation HD trucks might be a good donor, the newer 6 speeds probably have some kind of adapter to the old school blocks.

I had several 4th gen camaros with the 6 speed and that final gear is LOW. I doubt my stock Vortec could accelerate in that 6th under 75 mph.

ETA: 1st gear would probably also be useless unless towing or starting on an incline.

95 two door was the last year with the manual transmission. I wouldn’t mind having one, either.
