i had a gibson cat back as well. i wasnt a fan either. The tailpipe was like clamped on all ****** like, i couldn't ever hear a tone come out of that huge ass muffler either. i chopped it off and put it in storage.. haha my 0 dollar exhaust sounds way better then that 400dollar exhaust setup..

If any one wants it let me know..

This is the first I've heard of anyone not liking them. I absolutely love my Gibson cat-back...the sound is just friggin incredible....but unlike most people I hate the typical Flowmaster droney crappy sound.

I prefer a nice clean, crisp tone rather than just loud blah drone....

didnt mean to shut em down Elo, but idk i just didnt like mine :/
Im not a flowmaster man either! haha
Oh, no worries. I'm not offended or anything, I just like to hear other peoples' stories and opinions. I've never purchased any other Gibson product besides their cat-back so I'm not sure how it'll hold up long term. I've only had it on my truck for about 1-1/2 years....

It was decently priced, easy to install, and sounds f'n killer in combination with my K&N CAI. I have a friend that has Gibson cat-back on his '02 Tahoe and it doesn't sound nearly as good as mine. He was bummed, because he bought the Gibson specifically because of my truck. Haha...
