Getting rid of spark knock

My call is to replace distributor, $70.00, about. Drive gear, or reluctor bad, prob both. Pretty soon it will die at every stop, you can raise idle speed on TBI but then it wont stop. I've seen this on 87-94 models over 90K miles. Ones that sat had nearly exploded reluctors from rust. The cheap dists work fine in this vintage.Hope this helps.
