I have a 2006 chevy tahoe 2wd with 192k miles. it has rpo code g80. the fluid was last changed at 125k miles with mobil1 75w90 LS. i just changed the fluid with delvac 75w90. the fluid was dark and there very little on the magnet. the fluid level is correct.

It has ~100miles on the new delvac. i now hear a whine coming from the rear when doing a sharp turn, like turning into a parking spot and backing out of a parking spot. i can best describe the sound as similar to a tire rubbing against something. it also sounds like power steering but i stuck my head out the window and it is coming from the back. there is no noise going straight forward. what is going on? Should i drain it and fill it back up with mobil1 75w90 LS or something else?

I recommend that you take the truck to a local trusted shop and get it on a lift with someone in the truck. Then, run the truck in drive and have a Mechanic walk around under the truck and pinpoint the exact source of your sound. Then, corrective action can be planned.
