So I've been looking into upgrades on the spider injectors on my 97 vortec. I've not realy found anything besides a full on aftermarket efi unit like $2,500 and up or a slightly better mpfi replacement kit for the sfi unit. Does any one know if anyone has swapped to like an edelblrock intake running fuel rails and correct sized injectors all on a stock ecu possibly pass smog?

not going to work on the stock ecu without a tune. your changing too many variables swapping the entire intake manifold. what are you trying to accomplish? obviously something performance related based on your post title. unless your planning on running boost the factory injectors or even the slightly upgraded ones fit almost anything.

From my understanding you’re gonna need a 0411 computer swap for anything that will overpower the fuel system. That should accommodate aftermarket setups w/tune as mentioned above.
I’ve got a HPTuners license with my 99 Tahoe, my old 99 Z28, and my dads 06 Corvette. The difference is programmability in them compared to the Tahoe is enormous.
