Sooooo not to beat a dead old horse but i've seen vids and pics where guys are cutting off the proper area then mounting the low profile bump stop to the area just cut away but it would be better to mount it on the pad on the axle correct?

either way. I know its negligible but id try to limit unsprung weight if I could.

You can mount it on the frame or on the axle pad, axle pad is easier.
