What brand did you go with and where did you buy it?

I bought a black billet emblem off eBay (AMI brand) and it looks good but I really don't like how it fits to the grille. First one of the screw holes was slightly off so I had to use some JB Weld to fill and then redrill a new a hole. Now it centers on the grille but it doesn't sit flush to it, there is a gap at the center if you look straight down from the top. I ended up putting some dual lock in the center where the factory adhesive was to make a solid connection in the center.

I guess my other option is just to color match the factory emblem but I liked how the billet was smaller and showed off more chrome.

Here is what it looks like with the black now.

I have a couple pieces from Empire Motorsports (that I haven't put on the truck yet). The quality looks good, but they're still in the package, and I can't be sure how well they fit yet. I need to unpackage them and see how they look. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I rattle canned the stock front emblem with some really old gloss black I had laying around and it looks pretty good except in bright sun. Then it looks almost grey compared to the factory black paint. I just bought some GM black in a spray can to shoot it again. I still haven't figured out how to get the rear bowtie off without destroying it or the chrome surround. Post more pics of the billet/black pieces, sometimes that's better than the time it takes to paint the factory emblems.

I also removed and painted the OEM front bowtie and it looks perfect in my opinion. You can buy the color matched black spray paint from any good auto parts store

I'll try and get another photo or two showing the gap, but here is a closer photo taken on the same day as the first.

I really like the look of the smaller bow tie with the chrome around it. If I can find a better fitting billet piece I'd get that and just color match it. I usually get all my touch up paint from paintscratch.com. Much better color match than you'll get at auto parts stores.

For the record, I know it doesn't look it in some of the photos but my Tahoe is dark blue.
