Had a ****** ps pump that I thought was the cause ... But after replacing it Ive still got the squeal.

Sounds like a bearing more than the belt.

Alt, ps, idler and tensioner are all new, less than 10k. Wp probably has 20k on it.

With a serpentine belt, how can,you determine where the squeal is coming from sonce you cant isolate anything?

Is the power steering pulley flange flush with the pump shaft? It’ll need to be to avoid chirping.

Its close, not as flush as the picture though

I did it as far as I could. The installer would only go so far.

It probably wouldn’t hurt to get it as close as you can. GM has this crazy tolerance and I’ve never figured out how to get in there and really measure it with any level of accuracy.

Mine are just “flush-enough” looking and are quiet.

Here’s the diagram from the manual, tolerance is 0.25 mm.

Might invest in a mechanics stethoscope and see if you can carefully place the end of it in various places and see if you can pinpoint the origin of the sound. They are fairly inexpensive at Harbor Freight.

A long screwdriver also works as a stethoscope. Check AC compressor too.
