While I had my engine cover off to replace my oil pressure sensor I noticed this hole in this hard plastic line (where my finger is pointing). The engine cover rubs on that spot. Is this an EVAP system hose and could it be responsible for the occasional P0442 code I have been getting?

yeah thats problem, it needs to be sealed up.

you can cut the line in 1/2 on the hole, then use some rubber hose to reconnect the 2 half's.

Thanks, I figured it was. I put electrical tape around it for now and planned on using hose when I got a chance to dig some out. This must be fairly common because that cover sawed a pretty deep hole. It didn't just nick it.

One problem down only about a dozen more to go.

tape & zip tie will hold it or get that stretchy tape that bonds to it'self with a zip tie or even a clamp, no need to cut it
