I just bought a 2005 chevy Tahoe LS and discovered it has an electrical gremlin. I have researched. I have thrown parts at it. We are at a loss. Every single ground on this thing has been checked, cleaned, tightened. Every fused tested. Bulbs checked. Brake switch. Tail light junction box, plastic things the bulbs go in (cant remember the name). Multifunction switch. Im probably forgetting other stuff. The right turn signal comes on solid when im on the brakes. Flashes normal when turned on though. We have checked everything google has said to check. Help!

In order for the brakes and turn signals to work, at the same time, the brake light current has to be routed thru the turn signal switch. That is likely the problem but I do realize that you said you "listed" the multifunction switch but did not say what you did? I can't guess. It is against my principles.

Your phrase is this, "Brake switch. Tail light junction box, plastic things the bulbs go in (cant remember the name). Multifunction switch." In this phrase you do not say replaced or tested or inspected. Very vague.

By the way, Welcome to the forum, from Oregon.

Based on the google searches, we unhook all the pigtails to the turn signal switch and hit the brake pedal, right turn signal still came on solid

Open up the 7-blade trailer connector and make sure it's clean. And maybe think about changing the flasher that's behind the dash panel.
I did just pull the flasher relay, it looks new. Not sure how to test it but when I googled symptoms of that, none match up. I did unhook the electric brake inside, would that solve it if it were related to the trailer wiring? Ill go look at the plug while waiting for a response! Thank you so far!

First we have been told about a trailer brake inside. Just unhooking it may not fix. Like the turn signal switch, some circuitry has to pass thru other components to allow to work.

What does "unhook the electric brake inside" mean? There's a brake controller in the cab and the pigtail to it was disconnected? Or???

The physical wiring for the trailer connection for lights goes through the flasher relay, so an issue with the connector could backfeed through the flasher.

One of the simpler things that cause issues like this are defective bulbs.

That would be my first guess. External condition doesn't mean much..
Flasher module or the trailer brake wiring are prime suspects..
The flasher should "look new", it's in the dash. They wear out/fail on the inside. The only place they can "show" an external problem is at the connectors.
