I do not drive a Diesel vehicle, but I thought the filler tube/fuel inlet was a smaller circumference so you couldn't even accidentally put gas in it at the pump
or am I wrong?

No, they are not. A passenger diesel nozzle is slightly smaller than RUL nozzle. I own a diesel Jaguar and it will not accept a unleaded nozzle. Thereby preventing an error.
This is ingenious and should be on all fillers to prevent mistakes….Works excellently.

mistakenly put gas in your diesel and you scrap out megabucks of parts if you drive away Before figuring it out…
