Well I wanted a beater so I can finish the big truck . And since its going to be down in the next few weeks for the SAS I decided it was time to buy something . I picked this pos up for $1500 bucks . 170k on body 80k on motor. It had some flaws but to be a northern truck showed no major rust which had me sold. Only spot that was bad was the fuel tank for w.e reason .

Cleaned it up, put a new fuel tank in it , New pump, New lines from the rail back. New front brakes , wipers , thunderbolt exhaust And scored a free new set of 99 rims and tires . Restored them and put them on . Since the frame and body is solid I painted it as well . I just picked up new shocks and 4 new speakers came in the mail. Other than that every light and function works ... Even the cruise control . Not crazy about the two tone of plastidip the guy did but that was because it had a rust area repaired behind the right wheel well and couldn't match the two tone . I'll fix the paint later

Cool ride.

And ditto on tapacrap. I will never understand why people insist on continuing to use that pile of crap app

Well the beater is quickly turning into a restoration project i guess, should have known better than to buy a "2 door beater"

Things Ive found broken or leaking ect...
-Flywheel (teeth chipped) - replaced
-Starter (replaced with the flywheel for obvious reasons)
- P/S pump (leaking - Replaced

Cleaned up the motor pretty good and restored some of the plastics and metal

bought a new front grille headlights corners and bumper lights and a left front fender
Polished the front bumper but still has some fade to it
painted the frame

Before

Pretty happy with the results , Took some time to actually get everything lined up correctly and I'm still not 100% happy with the passenger side headlight being uncentered a bit but its w.e

Really digging the 92 model grill . almost went with the 95+ but glad i didn't . gives it a more retro unique look.

Still need to put the fender on but Im going to wait till another weekend to do that
