Anyone else perplexed by the engine oil dipstick reading 3/8" different from one side of the stick to the other? - 2018

Yes, I imagine it's due to the way the stick bends around on its way into the oil pan. Probably nothing to worry about, since it amounts to maybe eight ounces.

Yes! My 5.3 is the same way... And whats up with the twisty - curley-q design?... I can never get the same reading twice. Sometimes it shows 1 qt high... sometimes it shows 1 qt low... It's unbelievable after all of the years GM has been building vehicles and they can't even get this right.

Thats why there is an " operating range " I would assume. But yes,,,, frustrating for us **** owners
