Have a Yukon SLT that shows as 5000-delivered to dealer a week ago. Car has not shown up to dealer and they are frantically trying to work with GM to find it.

This ever happen to someone? Not sure if car was stolen or if was mis-delivered.

Maybe someone had sold it? I can’t imagine a car being delivered that’s just gone missing.

I’ve read some crazy things on here. One person who was tracking his order knew his car was already delivered and the dealer didn’t even provide him a single update. When he called the dealer was like, oh yeah your car just got here. Had he not called them out for all you know they could have sold it to someone else.

My dealer has been on the up and up and proactive. It shows on their site as pre-sold which came after I put money down. It’s their general manager too so I’d be floored. I have the VIN and will keep checking.

In the mid 60s I was working at Chevrolet dealership in my last year of high school and one of my jobs was to receive new vehicles, one afternoon a load of vehicles showed up and on truck was 1966 SS Chevelle I would check for damage then grab up keys and paperwork take to office for tags for keys and enter in inventory after that would drive to gas station for gas well when I went to do that with keys in my hand the Chevelle was nowhere to be found. Two days later it was found in another county stripped siting on side of road. They will come up missing! Hopefully that hasn't happened to your vehicle.

That’s exactly my fear. Thanks…can’t think of another reasonable explanation other than maybe they delivered to a different dealer

Maybe something happened in transit...

I had a Buick ordered back in the 80's that was damaged pretty good on the train. I don't know where it went, but it was all repaired before it showed up at the dealer. You really couldn't tell, because a fender was replaced and paint was matched, but I still knew it was there and I was ticked. When I asked whether I should still be charged full price for a repaired car... I was told, that damages in transit were common and they weren't even required to disclose anything, if the factory made it as-new before it got to the dealer. Whether that is true, I can't verify. But that is what was explained to me at that time.

Hope you can find it. Maybe it was a barcode error and it is sitting in a lot somewhere... Fingers crossed!

Wouldn't think it would be too hard for them to track down...thought they used the Vehicle Locate of the OnStar system during transit, so if it hasn't been knocked out of transport mode, they should be able to find it. If it has, seems like the still should be able to find it.

Dealer initiates onstar I guess according to GM chat so that’s not an option. Working theory is that it still at the railyard and was mis-scanned as delivered. It’s been escalated to dealer business center and order fulfillment so who knows. Argh

Maybe your Yukon is with our engine. We've been waiting for an engine for our Yukon XL since December 28th. Got a call Friday that it finally arrived but I haven't seen it so I'm still wondering if its a hologram
Here's hoping they find your Yukon and my engine :happy107:

The world's a real shitshow these days, who knows where it went. Probably got jacked off the delivery truck and some homeless guy is sleeping in it

People have been stealing the Ram TRX right off the storage lots at the factory in Detroit.

Not a vehicle but I have had many deliveries reported delivered lately and they didn't come here.
Each required investigations to follow the scan or delivery gps records and filing claims.
It seems possible that truck driver's credentials may not be scrutinized very well in a labor shortage.

Real pirates still exist in certain areas of the world.

Porch pirates exist all over the world.

I guess Rail Car pirates are a thing, too?

Arrrrrr … Avast ye lubbers - two Yukons and two Tahoes spotted … and all four are Duramaxes! Prepare to board!

I was a young Army 2LT and ordered a '78 Pontiac base Grand Prix while stationed at Ft Hood, TX. As typical for an Armor officer we spent a great deal of time in the field and I wasn't able to get to the dealer for a couple of weeks after the car was due in. Stopped by several times over the next month and the salesman said the car was still enroute each time. Finally visited with the sales manager and learned that the car was missing and never arrived and they had no idea what happened to it. Offered a full-loaded LJ model that had been the owner's demo with about 2,500 miles on it at a discount to what I was going to pay for my base model. Took the deal and enjoyed the car for a couple years before selling it before I deployed to Germany in '81.
