New pics, finished taking off the side molding and the emblems, just in time for my birthday! But I seriously think now that I need to drop it, it looks so high now. The night pics are straight after i took them off and the day pics are after a clay bar session, no wax.

That would be cool, thinking about selling my K&N CAI and getting a brute force. Next on the list is tint next week, and sometime in september Headers and crosspipe, and a High flow Cat, if I can find one CA legal.

Looks good, I've been thinking of taking my molding off also. My wife wants to keep the molding to help with the door dings in parking lots but i'm starting to hate the way they look.

Its starting to grow on me, at first i didnt like it, but I have had more people compliment my truck since i took them of Saturday night, then I have since I had my truck! Didnt think something so minor would make a big statement. I went and bought a heat gun but only used it on the emblems, didnt need to on the molding. Bought a plastic file, the kind they use to put on window tint, and the 3m adhesive remover. took 10 mins to get them off, and about 2 hours to remove the glue! But Im happy I did it now

DId you have to buff out the area when compete? I mean are their any tan lines where the moulding used to be.

Once you use something like Goo-Gone and remove most of the dirt stain then use turtle wax and that should blend that area in with the truck.

Better yet, just Buff, Wax, and polish the whole truck if you can.

K i debaged my hoe a couple of years ago and was able to keep it looking clean but I was just wondering if something that large would be noticible. I guess with some elbow grease anything is good. thx.

I still have the lines, but right after i finished taking off the glue, I washed and did a clay bar treatment. clay bar smoothed everything out, but i havent had the chance to wax and polish. I need to get some wax and plan on doing it this weekend. what would be the best wax to use to get the marks and small scratches and swirls out?

Well to get the swirls and scratches you have to polish it. Here's what I do:

Thanks, I'm not doing nothing in this heat and no shade. I need to do my roof, and my doors where I took the emblems off. But that's gonna have to wait till DEC, summer will be over and Oct is normally windy.
