I have a traditional tune with standard shift firmness and 50% torque management reduction on my 2005 4L65E. Would there be any benefit to add the corvette servo to the trans?

When I got the vette servo I had to turn the shift firmness back to stock with my edge programmer. It was too harsh for daily driving the family around. It would've been fine in my truck but not in the family wagon.

The servo isn't a bad idea at all, but if you find that it shifts too firm after you install it, you should send in your PCM for an update.

Well, what would be the benefit of installing the 'vette servo, besides firmer (perhaps too firm) shifts?

It will not be "to firm" it will be almost perfect.

The benefits are primarily less clutch slippage, which is a longer lasting trans

i didnt notice any difference in firmness with just the vette servo
this is exactly what the vette servo does no more no less
the more gas you give it the higher the RPM it will shift at
IE if you start off from a stoplight and push the pedal to the floor and hold it
the tranny wont shift untill almost 6000 RPMs about 5600 to be more precise b
the throttle position determines what RPM the tranny will shift at
and this is only for the 1-2 shift

I noticed a temperature drop due to less slippage.

The Vette Servo has nothing to do with shift points or RPMS. It is a hydraulic piston, with more surface area than the factory Tahoe servo. Thus, will have a firmer shift than the factory, with the same amount of pressure. It is actually better for your transmission as you have a more positive shift.
