97 Yukon power is always hot at the cigarette lighter receptacle
and is a problem because my Dash Cam and GPS had to be unplugged to turn it off when I shut the truck off and plug back in when I started the truck. Without have to running new wires here is a very easy fix.
I found a fuse that would only have power when the truck was on or when turned to accessory, I then blew the fuse for the lighter, ran a jumper wire from the new fuse "On or Accessory" to the side of the lighter fuse that was not hot that was going to the lighter. DONE! LighterHack.jpg

That's a pretty good tip, and very easy to do. I'll have to remember this!

what kind of ends do you have there? I want to swap my 12v receptacles in my dash but do not know how to unplug and take those apart. I want to put USB ports there
