Changing front and rear axle fluid ?

Since this is the first truck I ever owned could someone tell me what type of gear oil I need and does it use the same kind for both axles?

Also I want to change the transfer case oil does that use the same oil?

Also if the oil was never changed is it recommended to do it or leave it alone like a transmission? Will it slip if it has fresh oil in it?

I've never done it. If it ain't given u trouble then don't swap imo

front and rear gl-5 80w-90 if regular gear oil. t-case dexron 3. Tranny, if burned and smelly change it otherwise leave it.
