Cargo Area Light Mod

Man, if I man up enough courage to hack into my esky, this maybe the mod I want to tackle. Functional and looks good

And here are some pics showing the lights "in action." I drove someplace almost pitch black and turned off all of the other lights in/on the car. All of the illumination is from the LEDs.

It does look a little spaceship-like when you see all 10 lights at once, but that's a ground-level view. From most perspectives, the only LEDs you really see directly are the two that project out.
Fire Department chief’s/command SUV have hadn this feature for years. Just not as nicely done as yours.

I am working on adding cargo lights, but I really like the idea of getting power from the second row dome light. Anyone have details on how I can remove it to access the power feed? Once it is finished, cargo will light when doors open, or the additional switch I have for the rear area.

From what I recall you should be able to pop the clear lens off and then it kind of just slides out. There's a tab that goes under the headliner and the lens once clipped in that holds it in place.

I have this phase complete.
