curious why you'd even bother lifting for 33" tires?

I have a bone stock 4x4 Burb and I'm running 265/70R18 (33") right now. Zero rubbing. These were the rim/tires off my 2015 Tahoe 4x2 that I kept when I traded up to the Suburban

I deliberately kept the same aspect width (265) as stock so I could go taller and not rub. As a side benefit I kept damn near same MPG and speedo is only off 2 mph at 70 (slower reading than actual). a 305 tire is pretty wide and will suck gas and be less effective in the snow.
