Thank you for the video it was a huge help I tackled it today and I think I’m good to go
Best part was pulling the airbag out of the dash lol. Half way thru I stopped and pulled the batteries just to be safe

Update. Realized that I replaced the lower with the wrong part. Fit perfect, looked identical but prong config was different. Also have the airbag pulled (really easy other than being very nervous about handling an airbag) as instructed in the video above in the thread and pulled the two others. All three have same part number and I have 3 aftermarket ones on the way for $19 a piece. Shouldn’t be too difficult to throw them in on Saturday and fingers crossed it resolves the issue.

It's been said on these forums that those aftermarket ones don't last at all. The aftermarket uses 2 part numbers for all 4 while GM has 3 part numbers for the 4.

Blend doors are such a hassle to install that they are one of the things I will only suggest using OEM for. Especially the recirc one, it’s nearly impossible to get to.

Just got them in the mail and installed and put the dash back together. All good. Hopefully they will last a while. If not, I can always replace them again and I think I can do them all in under an hour now.

Hopefully you won't need to do the recirc one, to do it by the book you need to pull the entire dash cage out, about 8 hours labor. To do it the way I did (cheating) it's still about 4 hours. Good luck on the other 3 though.

Hello wondering the same. 2001 Tahoe my VIN:1J169758 I guess all of mine are bad, as I'm only getting cold air on high heat and recirculate for front vents, floor vents etc. Anyone have the OEM part #'s for my truck? Thanks all in advance, it's getting very cold here.
