Well I joined the ranks in receiving my BBP tune and its awesome!!! I know that the truck will take a couple of days to learn the tune so Iʻm excited to see what changes will happen!!! But off the bat was way better throttle response at higher speeds and definitely more seat of your pants HP gains!!! It also finds the right gear a lot faster!!! Iʻm happy with my results and canʻt wait to work out the little tweaks to get my Hoe roaring!!! Thanks again BB!!!

I'd like to know the effect on fuel economy once you run it long enough to determine. I'd appreciate it.

Congrats! The one I had on my NBS Yukon kicked ass. I was going to be out in CA this week and was planning on dropping by to get an in-person tune done, but plans changed.

Jenna, I'll be in touch for a scan cable. :)

SO hereʻs a little update... I was emailing Jenna and Justin and came to find out that I flashed my truck wrong!!! They corrected me and after I correctly flashed it... WOW!!! Now that is how its supposed to feel and drive!!! Iʻm only going barely half throttle and it wants to fly!!! First time I can make my tires chirp of launch!!! Almost scary to drive!!! It was a total 180 from pre-tune!!! Canʻt wait for the truck to learn the tune!!! Thanks again BB!!!

Went for a drive along the coastline and I could have used a 5 point seat harness!!! There was a Vette behind me and when I finally pulled into the beach he pulled up and asked me which engine did I swap out with!?! Thanks again BB!!!

Welcome to the club! Which tune did you go with? (87-89-93 octane). Did you get the "sport" mode?

Justin sent me the 91+Octane tune and ModTCM for my Transmission. Sport mode? Didnʻt know about that... Whatʻs that? But very happy with the results!!!

Yea, I had the top of the line Superchips ($600) & it was pure crap. Justin was in my area last year. Completely satisfied!!! Shift points smooth as butter! Power RPM!!!

My MPG went up a few (17 & 12), but now have to run premium, so its' a wash.

I'm about to make the BB Autocal purchase. I notice on the autocal page, it states this at the bottom:

For each vehicle, we will provide up to four different tune files, four out of process tune updates, or any combination of the two available at no additional cost.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, I could potentially have a MPG tune as well as a performance tune? So, I would have to kill the engine and re-flash in order to switch from MPG to performance tune, etc.?

I've heard ridiculously good things about Justin and his tunes, so I think it's time to bite the bullet. I just want to make sure I don't have unrealistic expectations since I've heard the performance and fuel efficiency were vastly improved by the same person. That leads me to believe the tune works off of how much throttle you give; i.e. 'MPG mode' when lightly using the accelerator and 'Performance mode' when punching it.

Thanks to all that contribute to this forum. I had lots of questions when I arrived here 3 months ago, and this is honestly the only thing I haven't stumbled across along the way. So, thanks again. :boti:

If you have the AutoCal you can switch from economy tune to performance tune. I've had the in person tune by Justin and he definitely knows what he's doing. As far as economy tune is concerned, I had it before on my 08 Tahoe and didn't get any MPG's. The most noticeable difference is the transmission shifting points.
