I have installed a Bilstein rear conversion kit (shocks and springs) on a '03 Escalade and an '04 Escalade ESV, and am 101% satisfied. Keep in mind It's a different kit for the Escalade and the ESV.

$300-ish from Rockauto and $300 for my local mechanic to install. Figure 1/2 day.

4600? 5100? I didn't know Bilstein had springs.

Links to these parts?

So I'm looking at doing Bilstein 5100's myself as probably the next big project here. I've watched a couple videos and all I've seen show the rear shocks not having coil over springs. Mine do though. Does anyone else? The Bilsteins don't seem to come with coil overs. What i could find for a parts breakdown also shows no coil overs on rear shocks.

Looks like a nicely put together kit with plenty of info BUT, why is there no mention of who's springs those are? I personally would want to know.

Was doing some looking here earlier this week. I wonder if they would be Monroe like these.

If you all are talking to me, the Bilsteins I pictured is exactly the way they come. I love them . . . the stance and the ride. I loved them on our deer-totaled '03 Esc too.

I had our local mechanic install them, so don't know anything about that, other than the $300 and he didn't have any problem.

Our ESV is not a daily driver. We use it to drive from our Missouri place to our Florida place, with our dog and cats, and whatever we may be towing. We have daily drivers both places.
