This update is kind of major because Ive done a lot of little crap but wanted to at least catchup on this thread here on TYF so here goes

Snorkel Update , Got some tips from 02TahoeMD via PM today , Im going to give it one more go tomorrow but Im pretty pleased with todays results not perfect but getting there. I its definitely hugging the A pillar a little tighter , only problem I see so far is Im going to have to bend it at another location because if I continue to bend it again at the same location I'm going to run into clearance issues with the door.

The hood is starting to look really bad for w.e reason, probably because it sat under a tree for my deployment

Well I got home washed it and had to dress it up for trunk or treat. so I put these bitchin magnets on it and put some claws on the back

Also got some big news, I picked up this monster for $400 . Its a Dana 60 Kingpin axle out of a 72 F250. The SAS will be a custom built 6 lug 60 with 4 link coil over setup.

Finally got around to pretty much finishing the Roof rack on the truck. I Fabbed up some Hi-lift mounts of my own since all the ones online wouldn't fit my rack.

Mounted my Fiskers axe with mount and a collapsible shovel. I got the Axe mounts from elite offroad. the shovel mounts I think came from ORD. Also mounted 4 side flood lights 2 on each side. and 2 small AUX lights on the rear.

The claws came from Halloween where I won best in show for best themed truck at a trunk or treat , Ill get into that later.

I had to pick up this awesome GPS that functions as a media player. It has its own sat for weather updates and doppler radar . only downside is the current software only projects 30 minute movement. I can also store custom routes on trails that are marked and recognized by Google maps

Added a First aid kit to the rear panel along with my Fire extinguisher. I could have actually used this last year at the Pinelands when a buddy got his finger sliced open while we were fixing a wire bundle that had a cut in it from the fan blade

More to come as I find time to update this thread

Center Console Build
Really wanted a custom center console and after some researching I decided to build my own. The only thing i regret so far into the build was not welding everything together instead using nuts and bolts/ and rivets to hold it all together. Only reason I didn't weld it is because I can't weld aluminum.

While the truck was being swapped over to a custom Linked/Locked HP Dana 60 KP... chevy 6 Lug, Not 8. I thought I would get somwhere on my Center console finally Its about 80% done Just need to build the face plate and cover some of the Ugly stuff up. and decide wether Im going to paint it. Here are some of the build shots. I might add that I should have just welded most of it . The screws make it look "tough" but some of them are off a bit and It bothers me. yes I could have just riveted it but then getting to some of the wiring issues if any would be a pain on the trails.

Anyways As for this SAS. First off I knew there were going to be delays with myself and the shops schedule but Im starting to press on them to get this thing done. I took a drive up to their old shop (they are moving) Truck looks great with the coils in it and the fabwork is amazingly good. I do have some gripes Im going to address with them on monday. First the Track bar is backwards... the way they have it mounted is odd and the more I research it makes me believe Im going to have horrible bump steer. The second thing is the "custom" drive shaft appears to be about 5-1/2 inches too short at full drop. We already had a nightmare after nightmare with parts not fitting or being too short or to long. then the damn hubs took 3 weeks to figure out since I wanted to stay "stock" in terms of reliability. I didn't want machined hubs with brembo brakes. If I break down I need to be able to go to a local auto store and get the parts I need when I break it. Hopefully they can get it wrapped up in the next week or two.
