Hey guys,

Just picked up my new Tahoe Hybrid - so far I love it!

I was just wondering (and I know its not as simple as speed) where your engine typically kicks in? I find I cant get over 12.5mph (20 km/h) without feeling left behind at a light and only running on batts. Is this right? If I put any torque behind it, the motor is kicked in right away!

Congrats on the purchase! I have an '08 Yukon Hyrbid and love it. I have the same issue you describe except mine typically kicks in around 10 mph or so. I've driven a newer Yukon Hyrbid Denali ('10 I think) and it seemed like the gas engine would kick in at higher speeds (20+) but I'm not certain.

What year is your HyHoe?
