It depends on what year truck you have. At most of the shops I worked at for a 2000-2002 we were charging between $200-$225 for the radio install only. If there were any add-ons such as sat radio, iPod, Bluetooth, etc the price went up. For a 2003-2006 for just a radio w/ nav install it ranged between $100-$150, without nav was generally $85. For the 03-06 w/o nav, it's nothing more than a basic radio install except for bypassing the parking brake wire.

If you did not buy the radio from them, a lot of shops will jack the labor price way up especially if it's not a brand that they carry.

650 just to install it? That seems really high. Im guessing part of that was for the modules to make everything work but still sounds high.

$650 is way too much, even with all the parts. Dude, just bring it down to me. What year is your truck btw?

This is why I do my own shit, or pay a homie. There is no reason that job should cost more than $200 :imo:

Best buy only charged me $100 to install my DNX5120, and I just went there yesterday to see what they would charge to take it out of my tahoe and put it in another car and it was only $125. I would just do it my self but $125 is worth not sweating my ass off for 6 hours tommorrow.
