Apple CarPlay Issues

Does anyone else have an issue with how the stereo does not actually turn audio off? If I am streaming music or podcasts and turn it off (mute the audio) but I interact with Siri, the audio picks right back up. Is there a fix to this?

I have the same issue. I don't think it's an actual bug, more like an oversight. I've been able to get around it by pausing instead of turning off the audio. That prevents the last played audio from coming back on after interacting with Siri, at least for me. Hope that helps.
