So I have been having problems with my 97 Tahoe not starting. I think I have narrowed it down to the oil pressure/fuel pump switch being gone....or at least I hope because everything else I have checked has been fine.....what I want to know is how the heck do I get it out. I have figured out where it is, it's directly under the distributor cap. How do I get the cap housing out of the way? I see a bolt under it, but I can't get a wrench in there to get to it, to remove it and give me access to the oil switch. Also dose anyone have any tips on how to test that switch to see if it is working properly? Any tips would be helpful because I am running out of ideas as to what could be wrong with this truck

If no start at all when cranking oil switch/sender is not the issue. PCM on a '97 would have primed the pump long enough for a 60psi fuel supply pressure. It normally is best to go from underneath the suv and reach up. It unscrews horizontally and to the rear.
