I have a 2015 Yukon Denali with a 6.2 and have a failed lifter that’s taken the cam with it.

I have decided to do a long block swap since it’s less than 1k more than I’ve been quoted for the repairs alone with the addition of the 3 yr warranty from GM on the new block.

My question is that I just ordered my long block from summit (gm part number 12700219) their site says it fits 2014-2020. Since it’s back ordered till 9/1/21 I was looking around and a few sites say this part only fits 2020 models and I should order part number 12657206 (as an average 1k more in cost from almost all sellers) and some sites list the 12700219 part number as replacing 12657206.

Can anyone confirm that what I ordered will work and also why the price discrepancy?

Thanks in advance!

I would visit my local dealer parts guy and get a quote using the VIN number.

At the very least you’ll have the correct part number.

You may also find their price to be similar to online vendors plus shipping.
