Out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried a coating on new lights to slow or prevent the fogging- a clear coat or something?

I still think someone should be making a lense cover of glass.

Yes. my first set of expensive lights went bad in the tx sun. crazed up in a few years, so I got them replaced under warranty. coated them with uv coating pros use when repairing lights and then I had some ppf that I got and never installed. so I put that over it. so far they look perfect but also I have a car port now that it's parked under too. (hail is very bad here) so not exactly as bad in the sun as before.

i got my head light ppf when I got my weather tech mat for the back. they sell them pre cut and good instructions on the install. little over priced but eh.
