Could you please explain this. How do you know you made 302 to the wheels through the traps in the 1/4?

With pleasure sir! It's a math formula: RWHP = GVW*((MPH*0.00426)^3)

When I was a young man I typed it out on the calculator like this: 112 x .00426 x 112 x .00426 x 112 x .00426 x 3650 = RWHP Whereas 112 mph is the trap speed and 3650 was the loaded vehicle weight during the pass. (This is an example from an old Buick in street trim, 396 RWHP)

Thank you sir!!! I thought it was some kind of equation, but wasn't sure.

You know reading all this takes me back to the days of living back in Muncie Indiana and working with the prototype guys from Borg Warner. Look if this is a daily driver I would do this. Find a salvage title tahoe same year as yours. Water damage ones are cheap. Pull the body put it up on some saw horses or welding table. Use the rolling frame as a engine stand. Pull down that engine build it the way you want it. Part out the rest of the tahoe and use that money to build your new engine and trans. Build a badass drive line all at the cost of the parts you did not need. Drop it in when its done. Keep the other engine and trans. Wrap it up in case you blow up the hot one you just built.

I found a 09 ssv here in Phoenix that was hit in the rear and totaled out. They ordered a new frame and lost interest in it. The engine has 22k on it. I scored it for 1k. I will part it out and build that motor for my 2012 ppv
