It seems like all the other hoes (mostly 4wd) I see ride higher than mine (2wd). I can see straight over the top of my roofline and I'm not very tall, about 5'10". All the other ones I see seem to be a couple inches taller at least. I've got factory rims and rubber right now, so that's not why I sit lower; is it just that 2wd trucks are set up lower or did the guy before me drop it somehow? I wouldn't know what a suspension mod looked like unless I saw a stock one side by side, so please talk deliberately stupid for my behalf, pics would be better! Thanks, y'all!!

4wd sit 1" higher due to the "lift block" that is installed from the factory. Also, 4wd comes with a taller wheel/tire combo compared to the 2wd version: 245/75/16 vs 235/75/15, respectively (30.5" vs. 28.9").

Total height difference: ~2.5"

245's are too small on these hoes if you ask me. so i had upgraded to some 265's.

My Tahoe sits more than 2.5" lower than a factory 4wd... One of the first things I did was switch to wider/shorter tires (275/60/15) for better stability/handling. Eventually I dropped it 2"

What does the middle of your wheel well to the ground measure??

wait why would i measure from there?? You mean the top of the fender well and the quarter panel... because to the center of the rim, that is just the rim size and tire size, that has nothing to do with how low it is
