Yeah you could drive w/o shocks bolted in, just around the block only, don't want to get on the highway though, its a good way jut to check heights.

Threw the z71 stops in friday and jfc what a pain in the ass that was. I hosed the things with white lithium and they didn't want to go in, had to smooth them down a bit with the bench grinder and they finally popped after I damn near ripped a finger nail trying. Ride is much better and it handles exceptionally well, just have to sort out the rear bumpstops when the new springs settle, I will also drop the front a bit more as it came up a hair with the new stops

That seems about right, I'm just a hair lower than the 5305 coils so these belltechs are about 5.5" maybe less when they settle.

Guess I should have called it the 4/6 drop thread then. Fuuuuck now I gotta build some bumper brackets and body drop it a bit, gotta sit under 30" at all 4 corners

So I'm lost now lol....which coils did you install? Do they ride as good as the 5305?

I installed the belltech 3" trailblazer coils part # 4230. They ride a bit stiffer than the 5305 but handles better. I'll measure it next to a stock denali once the springs settle to determine the actual drop.

Nope, I'll try to get some pics later this week once the springs settle. I might toss an isolator in one side to make it dead level with 1/2 a tank of fuel.

Looks good in the snowy pic, can't really see the drop amount though. Hopefully you got to a 6" drop.

Not yet, it's about 1/2" away tho. I can tell it's lower since I have about 1" of uptravel on my rear shocks instead of the usual 1 1/2". I should have some shorter bilsteins installed later this week or the following.

4/6 dropped silverado

Hey guys I know this is suv forums but you seem to know a lot. I recently had my 3inch front drop coils removed and added my factory coils and a 4inch lower control arm but it looks the same. Would it take a week or two for it to fully drop since my factory coils have been sitting in my garage for years? My truck sits really low but I want that raked stance where its lower in the front. Any ideas? Ill post some pics soon

Takes a week or so for most coils to settle, sometimes longer depending upon springrate and application.

Okay so I shouldn't get the coils cut? And is it just me or are all Chevy like 1/2 lower on driver side? Maybe cause the gas tank?

Its not just you on the Chevy lean, very common that it is lower on the driver side, especially on the torsion key front suspension SUV/Trucks (mainly years 00-06)
