Any time you are contemplating rebuilding a 4L60E stop by here first and swap out the known weaknesses of the stock parts here: www.sonnax.com

You'll thank me later...

The transmission bench
From your name “Nick Transmissions” it appears you are in the transmission business or pretty knowledgeable about them. Because most of us aren’t close enough to come to your shop ( our loss) who would be a good transmission shop to buy from? Monster Transmissions has such a poor reputation on all the forums that I’ve seen, who would you recommend for a transmission shop to buy from?
What transmission? 4L60/4L80? Unless you're looking for something real high performance for street/strip or full race (if so, I'd recommend Circle D Performance Trans in Houston, Gearstar, CK Performance, Broader, etc), I can't honestly think of a single reman company I would recommend.

If you're looking for a new 6L80 or 6L90, I'd buy directly from General Motors...3 yr/100k mile warranty - can't beat it.

Incidentally, I have someone coming out here from Memphis to drop a 4L60E for performance build in July. He's out here for a wedding so will be dropping the unit off to me then once done, I'll be shipping it back. Yes, per my user name, I rebuild transmissions for a living and been doing it for nearly 15 years.

Thanks for the info, hopefully it will save people on the forum some time, money and aggravation.
