I am the proud owner to a 97 yukon. I was curious how i would go about putting in a 3rd row seat. I am just needing 2 seats but i feel a bench would be the best way to go. I am also curious if it would be better to have them face backward as i have a huge speaker for my boom booms. Lol

I just retrofitted a third row into my 99 Tahoe. IMO, though, you're going to have to make a choice between either the speaker for "boom booms" OR the third row seat and for safety purposes I'd have the seat facing forward. If you do go through with adding a third row you'll either have to weld in the brackets or bolt them in. it's a fairly involved process so you'll either need some level of fabrication skills or know someone who possesses said skills.

This ^^^ I only did mine cuz I got a smoking deal on this 99, it’s rust free and mechanically sound. And I like projects and mods that OEM type mods that very few others have. My seat is out of a 95-99 burb

I really do love my baby. Shes a beast and i call her Lucille. The price was excellent and i get to tinker with a bigger engine. Was actually going to put speakers under the seats for a little more rumble. With the seat i have in there now speaker fits perfectly behind the seat so i got my third row and got to keep my booms booms!!

Not much of a speaker is gonna fit under there. MAYBE a behind seat box with subs like you’d find in a regular cab truck
