Done. Removed the spare, the floor mounted tire holder. Went to Lowes and got a 3" stainless steel S hook to extend the origonal mount and it worked out great. Actually by the time I wedged the 35 back in the origonal location it was just about stuck in there good, the bolt just keeps it there. Bought a tire cover for a 35x12.5 too to keep the things in the back of the truck clean

The S hook is temporary. I am going to add 4" to the origonal hook and it will work just fine and stock too.

The plastic piece on the floor in the first picture...that was on the floor of yours? I don't have one of those in my 98. I am pretty sure my 96 didn't either. Interesting....

Looks sweet sittin in the snow haha is that right now?! I'm going up to Pittsburgh soon excited to see some of that white shit. Also, where'd you get that vinyl floor cover with the high ridges on it that goes in the cargo area where your tire is?!

Yeah, that snow was two weeks ago. The rear cargo mat is a Husky liner. I run the husky liners in both trucks, they are awesome

I think it would be stinky inside (if it's a new tire)

RabbiPorkChop: is that a D60 in front? Was it difficult to mod that into place? Looks sweet.

actually it is a high pinion Dana 44 from a 79 f250. It was there when I bought it, but I have put a lot of work into it since I bought it. There are a few companies that make a kit for a solid axle swap, but the guy I bought it from had a suspension place fabricate and install all the mounts. The rear is a Dana 60 out of a 99 E350 van with discs.

I need to do this to the tahoe soon. Once I order the new tires for teh suburban I'll take the best one of the old ones to use as a spare. I already have a 17x9 ATX wheel
