Just purchased a 25 Yukon Denali Supercruise last month. The memory seat recall function was working normally, but then suddenly stopped. Not only is it not recalling the seats, but the buttons on the door aren’t working either. It’s just the seat buttons that aren’t responding (the lock buttons are working fine). Any ideas on what it could be? Trying to save the trip to the dealer if possible.

Take off the negative battery terminal wire, wait 15 min and reattach? With a vehicle this new, I’d be fast-tracking it to the dealer vs screwing with it myself however…

Disconnecting the battery may erase any stored trouble codes, and if it doesn’t fix the issue - may delay repair by a dealer (due to code erasure).

I purchased my 25 Denali Supercruise in Nov and had the same issue pop up in early December. Took it to the dealer and it started working properly while it was there, they couldn’t get it to replicate the issue. Since then it happens intermittently with no real rhyme or reason. Sometimes the buttons work, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes I can hold down the “1” button and it will jerkily make it to my saved position, but not always. Then other days it works completely normal. My dealer’s service dept is working with me trying to figure it out, but so far we don’t have a true diagnosis. They are ordering me a new seat module tomorrow and are going to try replacing that to see if it fixes the issue. You are the first person I’ve seen post about the issue, I check weekly lol. Let me know if you come up with any answers!

Oh wow!!!! That’s very discouraging! With an suv this expensive and new you would think things like this wouldn’t happen. Hopefully, my dealer doesn’t try to blow it off. Thanks for the tip. I’ll keep you updated.

Same issue here. Went away after a couple of days, hoping it stays away.

I would be looking for a loose connection somewhere, like where seat is plgged into the wire harness. Does the passenger sent work OK? Definety something I would have the Dealer figure out. You are undeer warranty so take advantage of that. I know that some Dealers can be a pain. Try other Dealers. Sometimes you will find a Tech who says, "Oh yea, I know exactly what that is".

I’m hoping they’ll get the part in and replace the module next week. Fingers crossed that’s fixes it. My husband just bought a 25 AT4 Ultimate today, so I’m hoping he doesn’t have the same issue.

I ran it by the dealership yesterday. They gave me a loaner while they ran codes and tried to diagnose. What they ended up coming up with was having to “reprogram the steering wheel”. I still have no earthly idea what that has to do with the seat memory, but for now it’s working.

UPDATE: the dealer replaced my memory seat module a few weeks ago and the memory seat has worked perfectly ever since!

We took delivery of our '25 Yukon Denali XL earlier this month. Today, this exact same issue manifested. Will be taking it into the dealer this coming week. Hopefully a speedy fix/module replacement.

Me again. They replaced the module on the door back in January. It’s now not working again. This is completely ridiculous.

Speaking of memory recall, do you all have to hold the button down for it to recall? In previous vehicles, I simply had to hit 1 or 2 and the recall would run through completion.

On my 25 Yukon Elevation just press the 1 or 2 button and release it goes on its own to the set position. On my new 26 Terrain Denali you have to hold the button in, go figure.

I haven't set mine up yet, but doesn't it recognize your FOB and open to an entry egress position upon door opening and then as soon as you start the car it goes to your favorite position? I've never had to push a button in my other vehicles it knew what FOB you had and knew where to go at the right time.

Yes, there is a setting in the infotainment to make it behave that way with the fob or just push the button and release manually like I do, my wife is shorter than I am so I can't even get in the Yukon unless I move the seat first.
