I was traveling over the weekend with the wife, two kids, my German Shorthair and a truck full of luggage. Coming back home from the in-laws, I was working on keeping my speed around 70 MPH on the interstate with the cruise set. We had some extreme tailwind (20+ MPH) and I was shocked to hit this all-time high average, 25.8 MPG on the trip, for nearly the whole 2.5 hours! The 17.9 avg was over the past few days driving around town.

Anyone come close with their 6.2? (3.0 oil burners NEED NOT apply!) :D9DC4DE45-8332-465D-9374-63DBD0F26809.jpeg

Close. The most recent average was Denver city rush hour commute. Best was earlier in the month on a trip to Missouri, had the cruise set at 75 most of the time.

Wow, that’s awesome! Do you run your tires at 33 PSI? Also are you driving a new Escalade? I’m not that familiar with the display but seem to recall that one from a 2021 Escalade test drive I took.

Normally run tire pressures a couple psi higher, but we've had a sharp drop in the temperature the last couple of days. Yes, it's a 2021 Escalade Sport. I've had it almost a year now. Usual mileage is 12-16 around town, depending on how bad traffic is, and 20-22 on the highway. Very happy with the 6.2, I get a kick out of teasing my brother about having more horsepower and torque than his 1994 Corvette ZR-1.

I had the vehicle pretty packed with people, luggage and the dog. Tires were at 41 PSI while traveling and had the cruise set at 70 MPH nearly the entire time.

I was alone on that trip, maybe 400lbs people/load. Tires were mostly around 38psi that day and the wind was light crosswinds, so not much of a factor.

Man, your tires are flat. You'd pick up some decent mpg gains with some more air.
It was sitting cold at the time. Typically run around 38-39 warm. They could use a couple more psi. Door sticker calls for 36psi cold.
